Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; minimum one year college level automotive courses or two-year degree in auto related field.
• Minimum one year experience as an automotive technician; prefer one year technician experience in automotive R&D environment.
• Vehicle testing and evaluation experience.
• Automotive Service Excellence Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares test vehicles for testing, including instrumentation and setup to required specifications.
• Performs diagnosis and repairs on test vehicles and durability vehicles.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Sets up mechanical and electrical test equipment and test fixtures.
• Prepares vehicles for testing and shipment; completes data collection check sheets.
• Participates in testing activities as an evaluator, driver, and technician.
• Evaluates vehicle performance under various test conditions and assists in failure modal analysis.
• Organizes and maintains inventory of parts, tools, and test equipment.
