Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented person to input vehicle data into our AS400 system using handheld devices for each vehicle received at the Auction.

Responsibilities include documenting VIN, stock numbers, dealer IDs, and vehicle specs, plus affixing labels and ensuring accurate sale identification during check-in. Role requires basic computer skills, ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required for data entry into systems.
• Vision abilities include close and distance vision and depth perception.
• Ability to drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 2 years’ related experience preferred.

• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Associate Tracker device to WO# and install on OBD port or strap tracker around steering wheel.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles; flag "no key" cars.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone and report transport damage as needed.
• Take digital images of vehicles upon receipt.
• Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the driver during registration/check-in.
• Follow safety procedures and cooperate with safety leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry. Flag "no key" cars.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone. Report transport damage as needed.
• Take digital image of vehicle upon receipt.
• Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the person who is driving vehicle through the registration/check-in area.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

Qualifications

Minimum:

High School Diploma/GED

Generally, less than 2 years' experience in a related field

Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required.

Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Basic Computer Skills Required.

Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.

Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.

Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
