Job summary

Marana Unified District is seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to diagnose, repair and service a range of district vehicles and equipment. The role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and electronic systems, performing preventive maintenance, updating records, and advising on safety-related fixes.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, 3 years of hands-on vehicle maintenance, and a Class B CDL (or ability to obtain). ASE or OEM certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years vehicle maintenance and repair experience.
• Class B CDL or ability to obtain one.
• ASE or vehicle manufacture certification preferred.
• Equivalent training/experience meeting minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and replace parts on district vehicles and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and services.
• Update and maintain service/repair records.
• Determine repairs to keep vehicles safe and operable.
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns in the field.
• Comply with safety policies and maintain tools.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
