Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver's license (Class C).
• Must be 18 years old.
• Two years of mechanic experience or a mechanic Automotive or Diesel degree/certificate.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment to evaluate mechanical issues in vehicles.
• Knowledge of vehicle preventive maintenance (changing oil/filters, rotating and balancing tires, checking fluid levels, inspecting hoses, belts, lamps, and mirrors).
• Basic skills in welding and minor vehicle body work.
• Ability to operate shop tools, equipment, and machinery following safety procedures.
• Ability to drive and operate school buses and other district vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities
