SHIFTS: Morning 7a-2pm, Mid 3p -11p, Overnight 12p-6a

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Specialist to ensure our fleet remains in optimal working condition. The ideal candidate will perform routine and preventive maintenance, conduct vehicle repairs, and manage material movement within the warehouse. This role requires effective teamwork, clear communication with supervisors, and the ability to positively motivate and influence co-workers while leading by example to maintain a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Responsibilities

1. Execute skills in repair and diagnosis to aid in the upkeep of the fleet.
2. Perform extensive repairs on vehicles (this includes breaking down and refurbishing Bird vehicles).
3. Maintain a high level of communication and responsiveness with your supervisor to advise of successes and challenges in your service center.
4. Collaborate with other teammates as well as work autonomously.
5. Perform material movement of scooters and inventory within the warehouse.

Must Haves

1. Desire to work with Bird in a high growth environment.
2. A passion for technology and vehicles.
3. Comfortable with navigating and using smartphone apps.
4. Problem-solving mentality.
5. Ability to learn quickly and adapt.
6. A strong understanding of hand tools.
7. Ability to be very active: bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds up to 3 feet off the ground on a frequent basis.
8. Excellent time management, communication, and organization skills.
9. Flexible availability and willingness to regularly work on weekends.
10. Ability to be both self-directed and work well in a team environment.
11. Keep the work station clean and organized.
12. Ability to stand for 8 hours/day.

Highly Desired

1. Previous mechanical or related experience.
2. Experience in delivery/transportation, logistics, warehousing, and inventory.
