Englewood Schools in Englewood, CO is seeking a Diesel/School Bus Mechanic to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of district vehicles, provide roadside assistance, and diagnose gas and diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. The role includes planning, budgeting, and inventory of parts, with potential custodial/grounds duties as needed.

This position is responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of all district vehicles and small equipment. Provide roadside assistance or recovery for district vehicles. Diagnose and repair: gas and diesel engines; drive trains; transmissions; suspension, steering, brake, and electrical systems. Maintain shop activities such as planning, scheduling, organizing, quality control, budgeting, warranty repair and evaluation, ordering and inventory of supplies and parts. Assist drivers when needed. May assist with custodial and grounds keeping duties. Develop and promote good community relations among stakeholders.

The starting hourly rate is based upon Level N of the Classified Salary Schedule and ranges $30.20 to $34.19. Salary placement is based upon education and prior relevant experience.
