Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, seeks a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the Riverside shop. You will lead the Auto Maintenance team, supervise technicians, and ensure work meets quality and safety standards while satisfying customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 5 years' experience in vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and/or body shop work.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
• Excellent supervisory, organizational, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Safe drivers with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Provides day-to-day direction and guidance to Auto Maintenance team members and allied vendors/service providers.
• Supervises and directs the work of assigned Technicians by determining work procedures, expediting workflow, assigning duties, and examining work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Ensures the full range of service / repair work is performed according to company standards, applicable regulation and customer expectations; work includes Oil and filter change, fuel filter change, transmission flush, Vehicle inspection - for safety, operational effectiveness and minor deficiencies, Various repairs and maintenance, including onboard diagnostics systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, aerial lifts electrical systems, interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, etc.
• Purchases equipment, materials and supplies.
• Supervises the completion of work order forms to ensure accurate vehicle records.
• Approves and forwards bills and invoices to Accounting.
• Reviews work volumes, planning and monitoring staff levels to ensure efficiency, quality and effective customer service.
• Ensures shop and work areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Enforces company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
• Visibly demonstrates a commitment to safety by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the right behaviors.
• Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
• Mentors and teaches Technicians to ensure the overall growth of the team.

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field (vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and/or body shop experience). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience in a related field (vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and/or body shop experience); a master's degree and 1 year of experience (vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and/or body shop experience); or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience (vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and/or body shop experience).
• Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
• Excellent supervisory, organizational, teamwork, and customer service skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Preferred:

• ASE certifications in automotive repair.

USD 80,600.00 - 120,800.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $80,600.00 - $120,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
