Job summary

Manheim is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of the mechanic shop in Oceanside, CA. You will lead a team of mechanics, ensure quality work, and uphold safety and company standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, scheduling, coaching, and coordinating with other departments to meet remarketing goals. A strong background in vehicle reconditioning and supervisory experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5 years in vehicle reconditioning or related field.
• Strong supervisory, organizational and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of the mechanic shop to ensure vehicles are inspected and repaired per quality standards.
• Track production and ensure charges are posted.
• Supervise completion of work orders and maintain accurate vehicle records.
• Approve and forward bills to accounting for timely billing.
• Develop staff through recruiting, training, and education opportunities.
• Plan staffing levels and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Lead by example and uphold Cox/Manheim values while ensuring safe operations.
