Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Part-time Vehicle Maintenance Assistant for the 2026/2027 winter season in Crescent Lake, Oregon. You will assist with inspections and repairs on the fleet, keep precise work-order records, and safely drive company vehicles.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of heavy equipment/diesel mechanics, can work in inclement weather, and hold a valid driver's license. Flexible scheduling and a collaborative approach with mountain operations are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of heavy equipment/diesel mechanics.
• Ability to perform in inclement weather conditions and terrain for sustained periods.
• Valid, current, unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance inspections and resulting repairs on the fleet including trucks, vans, snow removal equipment, transportation equipment and snowcats.
• Maintain accurate and precise recording of daily activities on work orders, indirect labor logs, and parts requisitions.
• Safely drive company vehicles/equipment with automatic, standard, hydrostatic, or powershift transmissions.
• Assist the entire mountain operations with any tasks, as needed and assigned.
• Consistently collaborate with all mountain operations departments to contribute to mountain-wide communication and safety.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other laws governing personnel environment and equipment safety for the purpose of ensuring safety in the workplace.

The Vehicle Maintenance Assistant position works with the Vehicle Maintenance Manager to ensure the vehicles and mechanical equipment that keep the ski slopes and trails available to use all winter long are impeccably maintained. This role is a part-time position for the winter of 2026/2027 season.
