Job summary

Ford in North America seeks an experienced Model Program Engineer to oversee the launch of new vehicle and powertrain programs. You will manage governance, pre-production events, fleet testing, and design change processes to ensure on-time, on-budget launches across plants.

You will steer issue resolution, lead cross-functional meetings, and communicate status to senior leadership while coordinating team integration and travel to support launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• 2+ years with statistical problem-solving disciplines.
• 1+ year in Powertrain/Vehicle Operations manufacturing or program management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a gatekeeper for New Model Programs and ensure launch processes.
• Oversee pre-production build events to meet quality objectives.
• Manage fleet, testing, and disposition of pre-production vehicles.
• Coordinate design changes and ensure timely integration.
• Lead issue resolution and drive closure to protect launches.
• Co-chair launch meetings and address part support issues.
• Manage launch budget approvals and spend within plan.
• Prepare weekly New Model Program status reports.
