Job summary

FastTek Global seeks a skilled Software Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan to advance the Vehicle Integration System (VIS). You will design and implement cloud-native and desktop applications, integrating CAN/J1939 signals, telematics, and vehicle modules while collaborating with software, hardware, and supplier teams.

You will build scalable services with Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability across VIS components, APIs, and workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with enterprise-scale systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java / Spring Boot, Node.js / Express, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs.
• Experience building distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of API design, OpenAPI, GraphQL, and integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud-native development on Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native and desktop-based VIS configurations.
• Architect and implement microservices and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL.
• Develop reusable frameworks and services for vehicle feature configuration, signal management, and workflows.
• Lead observability, performance engineering, API governance, and secure software development lifecycle practices.
