Job summary

FastTek Global seeks a Vehicle Connectivity Engineer to bridge vehicle communications with external interfaces via multiple protocols. You will develop mobile app requirements, design vehicle-side components, and ensure secure, high-quality connectivity for Android and iOS platforms.

You will work cross-functionally to define architecture for automotive ECUs, implement UI/UX backend, and lead security features in mobile apps interfacing with vehicle networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (computer/IS)
• Experience building mobile apps with large user base interfacing cloud/server applications
• Experience in Android and iOS-based subsystems involving audio/video on local device interfacing with USB/audio streaming
• Experience designing intuitive API endpoints for internal and user-facing devices
• Experience with RESTful concepts using OpenAPI to architect/document endpoints
• Experience as Kotlin developer for Android and Swift for iOS apps
• Experience decomposing vehicle-level functions for mobile apps and cloud offerings
• Master's degree in engineering (preferred)
• Experience with cloud-based mobile services
• Familiarity with DevOps and DevSec tools
• Knowledge of Postman for API testing
• Open-Source platform development experience
• Bootloader integration/Flash Bootloader/E2E/XCP/Cyber security/FOTA
• Automotive instrumentation/test tools knowledge

Responsibilities

• Develop mobile application requirements and manage development, sourcing, and engineering of solutions
• Design vehicle-side system component requirements interfacing with a commercial-grade mobile app
• Develop phone connectivity security requirements interfacing with modules (secure gateway, ECUs, OTA)
• Collaborate to develop architecture enabling mobile app connectivity to automotive ECUs and UI/UX backend
• Implement security features in mobile apps to prevent unauthorized vehicle access
• Work with third-party suppliers on requirements elicitation and test criteria
• Document development plans and processes for mobile applications
• Perform benchmarking/market research on vehicle features and trends
• Lead technology roadmap with industry partners for connectivity, Wi-Fi, and infotainment features
• Test, verify and validate mobile application software using industry-standard tools
