Job summary

FastTek is seeking a Mobile Software Development Engineer II with a strong embedded background to build the digital experience connecting owners to their vehicles. You will work on mobile-to-vehicle communication across iOS/Android, dealing with CAN bus, BLE, and real-time telemetry, in a fast-growing startup environment.

You will mentor teammates, drive code reviews, and contribute to architecture decisions while delivering reliable, low-latency software that works in motion and under poor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in software development, with mobile experience and embedded/vehicle context.
• Experience with serial protocols like CAN/BLE/UDS.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and at least one modern language (TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift).
• 2+ years shaping software architecture and design.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own mobile-to-vehicle communication features across iOS and Android.
• Work with CAN bus, BLE, SGIM/AutoAuth architectures and ECUs.
• Lead embedded-adjacent mobile software with low latency and reliability for real-world hardware.
• Contribute to unit/integration/vehicle-in-the-loop tests and CAN tooling coverage.
• Collaborate with vehicle engineering teams to translate signal specs into mobile software.
