Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Decatur, Alabama, seeks a Vehicle Integration, Test & Certification Engineering Leader to direct an engineering organization responsible for final vehicle assembly, integration, test, and certification, with a focus on readiness for launch-site processing.

The role partners with Operations, Quality, Mission Management, and subsystem teams to resolve issues, maintain configuration and certification integrity, and support increasing production and cadence for launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience plus at least 4 years in management leadership.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in integration, test, certification, launch, or sustainment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in production, integration and test environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering organization supporting final vehicle assembly, integration, test, certification, and launch-site processing.
• Provide engineering leadership and accountability from integration through delivery and mission readiness.
• Partner with operations, quality, mission management, and subsystem engineering to align priorities and staffing.
• Resolve technical issues affecting vehicle integration, test execution, and certification.
• Maintain vehicle configuration and certification integrity across Decatur production and launch-site processing.
• Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned to future builds and product improvements.
