Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Decatur, AL seeks an experienced Factory System Engineering Integrator to drive rigorous systems engineering within the Vulcan launch vehicle program. You will integrate subsystems and manage interfaces across tooling, facilities, and teams to ensure a cohesive system.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 6 years of related experience, including manufacturing and requirements management. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related technical field from an accredited college.
• Minimum of 6 years of related work experience.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Experience developing, integrating, and verifying requirements.
• Experience integrating complex topics with cross-functional teams.
• Proven initiative, teamwork and leadership on technical projects.
• Ability to operate independently and communicate effectively in writing and presentations.
• Strong organizational skills with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Embedded Decatur factory scope systems engineering support within a larger team.
• Manage tooling, facility, human, mechanical, propulsion, avionics, software interfaces for integrated system.
• Support requirements development, verification, FMEA, test-like-you-fly, risk/issue management, trade studies, gate reviews.
• Support all phases of total system product from concept to disposal.
• Develop and execute project schedules to meet milestones.
• Lead cross-functional project teams on complex integration issues.
• Interface with external customers and present to customer reviewers.
• Lead systems engineering process/tool development and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Vulcan development to onboard new capabilities.
• Mentor junior engineers to grow a cadre of world-class Systems Engineers.
