Job summary

Cox Automotive in Virginia is hiring a Logistics Specialist I for Vehicle Operations. The role involves entering vehicle data into the AS400, affixing labels, and coordinating transport and safety procedures. Work hours are Monday–Friday with an on-site requirement.

The position requires a high school diploma and 1–3 years of related experience, valid license, and basic computer skills. Compensation is hourly with potential incentives; benefits include paid time off and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 system using handheld device for each vehicle at the Auction (VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color, options).
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Associate Tracker device to WO# and install on OBD port or strap 2nd generation tracker.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Flag 'no key' cars and direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Report transport damage as needed and take digital vehicle images on receipt.
• Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the driver during registration/check-in.
• Follow safety procedures and support Safety Excellence initiatives.
