Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to support dealers and consumers by inspecting vehicle conditions, capturing data, and delivering accurate reports. You will interact professionally as the face of ADESA and its affiliated businesses, ensuring timely and reliable service.

The role requires basic automotive experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to drive a variety of vehicles.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year automotive experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets requirements.
• Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate in a professional manner with customers (dealers or consumers).
• Resolve customer inquiries in a friendly, courteous and professional manner; advise management of all complaints or incidents.
• Ensure internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
• Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair or structural damage.
• Complete inspection of vehicles and ensure adherence to the defined program for the customer.
• Capture data accurately on a mobile device, work comfortably with software and technology.
• Deliver results in a timely manner.
• Maintain productivity levels as set forth by management.
• Deliver consistent, accurate inspections with minimal errors in accordance with expectations.
• Collaborate with Manager and sales team on customer needs with insights to improve services.
• Maintain equipment and tools and advise manager of maintenance needs.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and positioned as received.
• Submit completed condition reports using available technology.
• Complete road test if required by contract or inspection type.
• Keep current on technology updates and product development.
• Understand use of tools like paint meters, OBD scanner, etc.
• Develop knowledge of competitor products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
