Job summary

ADESA is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to join our field team. You will inspect vehicles for condition, wear, tear, neglect, and damage, capture data, and interact with dealers and consumers as the face of ADESA and its businesses.

The role requires attention to detail, data entry on handheld devices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and professionalism. A high school diploma or GED and valid driver's license are preferred. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year automotive experience preferred
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets the requirements
• Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers (dealer or consumer)
• Resolve inquiries in a friendly, courteous and professional manner; inform management of complaints
• Ensure internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient attention
• Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage or previous repairs
• Complete vehicle inspections and ensure adherence to program
• Capture data on a mobile device and use software as required
• Deliver results in a timely manner
• Maintain productivity levels as directed
• Submit completed condition reports using available technology
• Keep equipment maintained and report issues
