Job summary

ADESA is hiring a Vehicle Inspection Associate in Tampa, FL to inspect vehicles for condition, capture data on mobile devices, and interact professionally with dealers and consumers. You will promptly complete inspections, upload results, and support the customer-facing face of ADESA and its brands.

The role requires attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with the sales team and management to improve service quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year automotive experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate in a professional manner with customer (dealer or consumer).
• Resolve inquiries in a friendly, courteous and professional manner; advise management of all complaints or incidents.
• Ensure internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
• Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair or structural damage.
• Complete inspection of vehicles and ensure adherence to the defined program for the customer.
• Capture data accurately on a mobile device, work with software and technology.
• Deliver results in a timely manner.
• Maintain productivity levels as set forth by management.
• Deliver consistent, accurate inspections with minimal errors.
• Collaborate with Manager and sales team on customer needs with insights to improve services.
• Maintain equipment and tools and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and in the same condition as arrival.
• Submit completed condition reports using the provided technology.
• Complete road test if required by contract.
• Keep current on technology updates and product development.
• Understand the functionality of tools like paint meters, OBD scanner, etc.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of competitor products.
• Any other duties assigned by the manager
