Job summary

EDAG in Georgia seeks a Vehicle Engineering Program Manager to lead a team of program analysts and drive successful vehicle programs. You will guide problem-solving efforts, develop management frameworks, and align cross-functional teams on scope, timelines, and success criteria.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in the automotive sector, with leadership experience and expertise in PM methodologies. Some travel is expected; a contract of 1 year is indicated.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience, including 2-5 years in vehicle program management or related field and 7-10+ years in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of program analysts to drive exceptional performance.
• Lead problem-solving for engineering challenges using benchmarking, cost & weight initiatives, and market/customer analysis.
• Prepare and deliver reports to upper- and executive-level management to align on issues, features, and specs.
• Develop and implement program management frameworks and best practices for project execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define objectives, scope, and success criteria with timelines.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, mitigate issues, and manage budgets and resource allocation.

DESCRIPTION

• Lead and manage a team of program analysts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive exceptional performance
• Lead problem-solving activities for engineering challenges, leveraging competitive benchmarking, business case analysis, cost & weight initiatives, and market/customer analysis
• Prepare and deliver frequent reports to upper- and executive-level management; drive one-voice alignment across organizations on program issues, features, and specs
• Develop and implement program management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for consistent, effective project execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define program objectives, scope, and success criteria, and establish project plans and timelines
• Monitor program progress, identify risks/issues, develop mitigation strategies, and manage program budgets, resource allocation, and forecasting

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of overall experience, including 2-5 years in vehicle program management or a related field and 7-10+ years in the automotive industry
• Prior leadership experience, including managing direct reports, with a proven record leading and delivering complex programs and projects
• In-depth knowledge of program management methodologies, tools, and frameworks; familiarity with program management tools/software
• Preferred: program management experience at an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier; professional certification
• Some domestic and international travel required
