Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Portland, Oregon is seeking motivated university students for a summer Internship in the Integration & Coordination Team (ICT). You will contribute to Vehicle Electrical Parameter System (VEPS) activities, supporting configuration, validation and integration across programs.

You will work in a cross‑functional environment with software, hardware, validation and manufacturing teams, gain hands‑on experience, and may transition to a full‑time role based on

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher or recently graduated within 1 year.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems, electronics, or embedded systems.
• Exposure to data analysis, troubleshooting, or debugging techniques.
• Ability to analyze data or system behavior and identify potential issues.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support VEPS integration activities including ECU intake, documentation, and parameter validation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Analyze vehicle data, parameter sets, and test results to help identify integration or configuration issues.
• Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including software, hardware, validation, and manufacturing.
• Participate in system-level verification activities (e.g., Truck‑in‑a‑Box, pre‑series validation).
