Daimler Truck North America is seeking a technically driven engineering intern to join the BEV development team in Portland, OR. You will help validate energy and thermal management for the next-generation Class 8 BEV platform, using AI-driven testing and data analysis tools in a hands-on, fast-paced prototype environment.

We offer hybrid work with in-office and remote days, relocation support, and exposure to cutting-edge electric truck technology across the DTNA portfolio.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's program or recent graduate within 1 year of start date.
• Pursuing Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Systems Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, execution and analysis of BEV validation test plans.
• Support performance evaluations in lab and real-world conditions.
• Apply AI-assisted testing tools to optimize test coverage and prioritize scenarios.
• Automate generation of performance reports and highlight outliers.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative team environment.
