Job summary

Slate Auto in Warsaw, Indiana is seeking a hands-on Plant Vehicle Engineering Technician, Electrical Systems & Harness Support to help launch and sustain production. You will troubleshoot low‑voltage systems, HV interfaces, and harness installations while ensuring safety and quality on the plant floor.

You will work closely with Plant Vehicle Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Quality teams to identify issues, perform repairs, and validate actions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years automotive electrical hands-on experience in diagnostics, harnessing, or launch support.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and repair procedures.
• High‑voltage safety training or EV certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support launch and ongoing production of low‑voltage systems, HV interfaces, and vehicle harness applications in a manufacturing plant.
• Troubleshoot harness routing, connector engagement, pin fit, and continuity problems.
• Inspect installation quality, retention, routing, bend radius, and protection during assembly.
• Support HV harness and component interface checks including HVIL continuity and isolation concerns.
• Document findings with photos, fault details, and validation results.
• Collaborate with Plant Vehicle Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality, Production, and Suppliers to resolve issues.
