Job summary

Workhorse is seeking an automotive wiring harness technician to fabricate prototype low- and high-voltage harnesses for development and test vehicles. You will build from schematics, install components, and perform wiring modifications to support design changes and testing.

The role involves hands-on harness assembly, troubleshooting, and ensuring durability, safety, and proper documentation of all modifications within a collaborative engineering team.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and vehicle build instructions.
• Build prototype automotive wire harnesses per schematics and wiring specs.
• Troubleshoot open/short circuits, pinouts, and communication faults in vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate prototype low- and high-voltage wire harnesses for development vehicles and test benches.
• Install harnesses and electrical components into development vehicles.
• Perform electrical retrofits and wiring modifications for design changes and testing.
• Route and secure wiring to meet durability and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of modifications and revisions.
• Collaborate with wiring DREs, electrical engineers, technicians, and suppliers.
