Job summary

The Plum Catalyst is seeking a Vehicle Driver Supervisor to oversee a team of 6–10 drivers and manage day-to-day transit operations in Grand Rapids, MN. This full-time, on-site role involves leading the team, coordinating schedules, ensuring safety, and maintaining records for ongoing program analysis.

You will operate and support hybrid/electric vehicles, including wheelchair ramps, while delivering reliable, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and provide day-to-day oversight for a team of 6-10 drivers.
• Coordinate driver schedules and assignments to ensure reliable service coverage.
• Foster a strong safety-first culture while promoting excellent customer service standards.
• Conduct regular driver check-ins, coaching, and performance feedback discussions.
• Participate in operational communication channels, including Slack-based incident and operations coordination.
• Operate hybrid and electric vehicles to provide on-demand transit services as needed.
• Safely operate and troubleshoot wheelchair ramp systems on applicable vehicles.
• Provide excellent customer service while assisting riders in a professional and accessible manner.
• Respond to operational challenges, rider concerns, and incidents with sound judgment and professionalism.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Monitor driver performance and adherence to operational and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate operational records, incident documentation, and research-related reporting.
• Support ongoing research efforts by identifying trends, documenting observations, and contributing operational insights.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

HireArt is helping our client find Vehicle Driver Supervisors to support the day-to-day operations of the company's project in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. This role combines team leadership and hands-on vehicle operation to help ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of micro-transit services.

In this role, you’ll lead a team of 6-10 drivers while supporting daily transit operations using hybrid and electric vehicles, including vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps. You’ll contribute to operational documentation, reporting, and data collection efforts that support ongoing program analysis and development.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, highly organized, customer-oriented, and comfortable leading teams in a dynamic operational environment. $500 Sign-on bonus! This position is 100% onsite in Grand Rapids, MN, and candidates outside a commutable distance must be willing to relocate at their own expense. As a Vehicle Driver Supervisor, you'll:
