Job summary

The Plum Catalyst is seeking a Transit Supervisor to lead a team of 6-10 drivers and support daily micro-transit operations in Grand Rapids, MN. This is a full-time, on-site role with hybrid/electric vehicles and wheelchair ramps where applicable, plus a $500 sign-on bonus.

You will oversee driver schedules, safety, and service quality while coordinating with operations and research teams to capture data and insights for program improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience operating hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Ability to learn wheelchair ramp systems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decisive under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with research-oriented operations and data collection.
• Interest in autonomous vehicle tech and micro-transit systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6-10 drivers and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate driver schedules and assignments to ensure coverage.
• Promote safety-first culture and high customer service standards.
• Conduct driver check-ins, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Engage in incident and operations coordination via Slack.
• Operate hybrid/electric vehicles for on-demand transit when needed.
• Safely operate and troubleshoot wheelchair ramp systems where applicable.
• Provide excellent customer service to riders in a professional manner.
• Address operational challenges and incidents with sound judgment.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report safety concerns.
• Maintain operational records and incident documentation.
• Support research efforts by documenting trends and insights.
