Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector in Texas to inspect vehicles at dealerships, document condition, and provide repair cost estimates. You will collaborate with Territory Managers and Inspectors to ensure accurate reports and high client satisfaction.

The role requires driving to various locations, good English communication, and the ability to work outdoors. Expect a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with opportunities to advance within ACV Auctions.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in automobile field with customer service.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.
• Problem solving aptitude to meet challenges with resourcefulness.
• Proven success to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to understand customer needs.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Knowledge of software and web-based applications.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform manual labor.
• Ability to drive manual & automatic transmissions.
• Vision to identify small defects around vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical problems.
• Prepare and submit reports of vehicle condition, repair cost estimates, and related documentation.
• Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface with dealers to develop client satisfaction and strong relationships.
• Travel to and from dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports.
• Take photos and upload them to the image server using company devices.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles on ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchasing.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to use the platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
