Job summary

Friendly Acura is seeking a candidate to purchase pre-owned inventory for the dealership, serving both retail and wholesale channels from Middletown, NY. You will work with staff, customers and managers to build a customer network and secure inventory.

The role offers weekly compensation plus monthly bonuses based on the volume of cars purchased, along with medical, 401K, vacation time and advancement opportunities in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Prior sales experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Understanding of inventory control.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast paced environment.
• Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR.
• Knowledge of Vauto inventory helps but not required.
• Some general automotive knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our employees, customers and managers to purchase pre-owned inventory for the dealership.
• Build rapport with customers to establish customer network.
• Making 80-100 market indicators per day.
• Travel offsite to meet clients and appraise their vehicle for sale.
• Appraise your own vehicles, using OBD scanners, tire tread gauges.
