Syngenta seeks a Vegetable Seeds Development Intern in Nampa, ID to join the Seed Operations Team and gain practical exposure across crops. You will work in greenhouses and fields, assisting with data collection and seed production for new experimental lines while following HSE policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Student must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline (Plant Biology, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Genetics, Agronomy, or another closely related major is preferred).
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) would be ideal but not required.
• All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Foster an operational culture founded on adherence to all applicable HSE and other corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Support the Seed Operations Team with field and greenhouse activities in the production of seed for new experimental lines and inbreds.
• Assist in data collection in greenhouses and the field while maintaining data accuracy and integrity standards.
• Support field crew activities, such as seed preparation for planting, planting, pollinating, crop protection, and plant tissue sampling.
• Perform other duties as required to meet project needs.
