DO & CO AG seeks a Vegetable Prep Helper to join our New York culinary team. Responsibilities include washing, trimming, slicing, and portioning vegetables while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in vegetable preparation or similar kitchen environment.
• Familiarity with different produce-cutting techniques.
• Knife skills and experience with food-prep equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and product quality.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift/carry/push/pull items.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, trim, slice, chop, dice, and shred vegetables as required.
• Prepare produce using various cutting techniques (slices, dices, julienne, wedges).
• Use knives and prep tools safely and correctly.
• Ensure cuts are accurate and according to recipe and presentation.
• Inspect produce for freshness and quality before prep.
• Assist with inventory and keep department stocked.
• Report low ingredients or supplies to supervisor.
