Job summary

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority seeks a Manager of Event Design to plan and execute high-profile events in Las Vegas, aligning with brand standards and delivering a captivating Vegas WOW while respecting the department budget.

You will lead creative design, manage multiple events, coordinate with executive, operations, marketing and sales teams, and negotiate contracts, timelines, and logistics to ensure on-brand experiences.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in event planning and execution, preferably in destination marketing or resort/special events.
• Ability to collaborate with teams and departments.
• Strong time management and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with vendors, management, and ambassadors.
• Willing to travel and work outside regular hours; passport may be required.
• Experience with graphics is a plus.
• Commitment to valuing differences and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead creative event design and ensure on-brand layouts across multiple events.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and suppliers to manage budgets, timelines and logistics.
• Oversee onsite event management to execute the vision.
• Stay current on local event planning trends and act as destination expert.
