Meet Life Sciences Ltd. is seeking an experienced Freelance Veeva CTMS Business Consultant to support the initial design and configuration of a Veeva CTMS/Clinical Vault implementation for a leading pharmaceutical organisation.

This remote, 6-month contract involves working with Clinical Development Operations and external Veeva teams to ensure configurations reflect SOPs and business requirements. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on CTMS/Veeva experience, strong clinical operations

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Veeva CTMS and/or Veeva Clinical Vault.
• Experience supporting clinical systems implementations in pharma/biotech.
• Background in business-facing consultancy, not purely IT.
• Ability to lead design/config workshops with stakeholders.
• Experience with global multi-country clinical systems implementations.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support the business-side design and configuration workstream for the Veeva CTMS implementation.
• Participate in design and configuration workshops with the Veeva implementation team.
• Review existing clinical trial processes, SOPs, templates and operational requirements.
• Translate business needs into practical Veeva CTMS configuration decisions.
• Provide recommendations on how Veeva CTMS functionality supports the operating model.
• Act as SME and trusted advisor to Clinical Development Operations.
• Collaborate with the Veeva vendor team during design and configuration lock phases.
• Support decision-making across stakeholders and align process and system options.
• Contribute to wider implementation programme including MVP release.
• Ensure solutions are practical, business-focused, compliant with GxP.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with Veeva CTMS and/or Veeva Clinical Vault.
• Veeva certification is advantageous.
• Experience implementing clinical systems like EDC platforms.
• Experience in global pharma/biotech/CRO/consultancy.
• Involvement in large-scale multi-country implementations.
• Familiarity with Clinical Development operating model transformation programmes.

Job Overview

A leading pharmaceutical organisation is undertaking a significant transformation of its Clinical Development operating model, transitioning from an outsourced model to an in-house Functional Service Provider (FSP) structure. As part of this transformation, the organisation is implementing Veeva CTMS / Clinical Vault as its core clinical trial management platform.

We are seeking an experienced Veeva CTMS Business Consultant to support the initial design and configuration stages of this implementation.

This is a business-facing consultancy role, working closely with Clinical Development Operations, internal stakeholders and external Veeva implementation teams. The successful candidate will ensure that the platform is configured to reflect clinical operating processes, SOPs and business requirements.

The ideal consultant will have extensive hands-on experience with Veeva CTMS and/or Veeva Clinical Vault, alongside a strong understanding of clinical trial operations and previous experience supporting clinical systems implementations within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the business-side design and configuration workstream for the Veeva CTMS implementation.
• Participate in and facilitate design and configuration workshops alongside the Veeva implementation team.
• Review existing clinical trial processes, SOPs, templates and operational requirements.
• Translate business needs and operational requirements into practical Veeva CTMS configuration decisions.
• Provide recommendations on how Veeva CTMS functionality and modules can best support the organisation's clinical development operating model.
• Act as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to Clinical Development Operations stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with the Veeva vendor team throughout the design, configuration and configuration lock phases.
• Support decision-making across business stakeholders, helping align and agree on process and system configuration options.
• Contribute to the wider implementation programme, supporting the initial MVP release and subsequent deployment activities.
• Ensure system solutions are practical, business-focused and compliant with the requirements of a regulated clinical trials environment.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with Veeva CTMS and/or Veeva Clinical Vault.
• Veeva certification is advantageous, although equivalent hands-on implementation experience will be considered.
• Previous experience supporting the design, configuration and implementation of clinical trial management systems.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and Clinical Development processes.
• Experience working with clinical SOPs, process maps, templates and business requirements within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO or consultancy environment.
• Background in business-facing implementation or consultancy roles, rather than purely technical or IT-focused delivery.
• Experience facilitating workshops, gathering business requirements and guiding stakeholders through system and process decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Previous employment with Veeva or experience within a specialist life sciences consultancy.
• Experience implementing other clinical systems, such as EDC platforms, demonstrating an understanding of structured GxP system implementations.
• Experience working within a global pharmaceutical or biotechnology organisation, CRO, FSP or specialist life sciences consulting firm.
• Involvement in large-scale, multi-country clinical systems implementations.
• Familiarity with Clinical Development operating model transformation programmes.

The ideal candidate will be a senior clinical systems consultant with a combination of in-depth Veeva expertise and practical clinical operations knowledge.

They will be confident advising and challenging stakeholders, assessing existing clinical processes and translating business requirements into effective system configuration decisions.
