Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced VDI Engineer to support an IC customer/contract in the Springfield, VA area. This position will support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. The role will serve as the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization. Security requirements include a TS/SCI clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI polygraph.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues.
• Guide the optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as a liaison for VDI technologies.
• Offer endpoint support and troubleshoot Virtual Desktop related tasks.
• Maintain advanced knowledge in administration, engineering, and implementation of VDI-related technologies.
• Operate across multiple complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Apply extensive technical expertise and possess full knowledge of related disciplines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later
• Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS)
• Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
• Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX
• Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)
• Citrix App Layering
• Liquidware Profile Unity
• Hyper V, VMWare, VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs)

Desired Skills:

• Experience managing Windows Server clustering
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
