At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a VDI Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared VDI Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA.

How a VDI Engineer Will Make an Impact

This role involves supporting the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. You will be the SME troubleshooting performance issues, designing and integrating systems, managing identity lifecycle, and automating processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Proven experience designing and maintaining VDI in large enterprises, a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, and a passion for operational excellence and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide Tier 3/4 support for VDI issues to system administrators.
2. Guide on desktop optimization and act as liaison for VDI technologies.
3. Support endpoint issues and troubleshooting tasks related to Virtual Desktop.
4. Maintain advanced knowledge of VDI-related technologies.
5. Operate across multiple complex environments with various stakeholders.
6. Conduct trade studies and recommend solutions and procurement decisions.

Minimum Requirements

Experience supporting Citrix products, 5+ years of related experience with a degree or equivalent, progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer, and specific technical skills in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, PVS, MCS, CVAD, Liquidware Profile Unity, Hyper V, and VMWare VDI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Windows Server clustering management experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible.
• Knowledge of System Center VMM, Active Directory, Group Policies, and software provisioning support.

Additional Details

Location: On Customer Site. US Citizenship required. Salary range: $105,622 - $124,000. Benefits include 401K, health packages, career growth, and paid leave.
