Job summary

Interstates is seeking a VDC Team Lead to drive complex data center and cross-disciplinary projects from concept through construction. You will guide design, coordination, and documentation strategies with minimal supervision alongside clients and project teams.

The role requires strong BIM and CAD capabilities, 7–15 years of experience, and a track record leading multi-discipline teams in the electrical industry. Travel up to 35% is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or A.A./A.S. in a related field; a bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7–15 years in virtual design and construction or project management, preferably in electrical industry.
• Strong BIM and CAD skills with proven team leadership in a virtual design environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects by establishing direction, execution strategies, and schedules.
• Manage design and coordination across multiple projects; set milestones.
• Mentor design staff and coach on technical and project leadership best practices.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, engineers, subcontractors, and manufacturing for delivery.
