Job summary

Wohlsen Construction seeks a VDC Director to lead the Virtual Design & Construction function and set a strategy that turns model-based construction into a competitive advantage across Business Development, Preconstruction, and Operations.

You will manage the VDC team across regions, standardize deliverables, and advance early design coordination with constructability input, estimating, and field execution while maintaining client-facing leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 12–15 years in VDC/BIM with leadership experience.
• Proficiency with BIM authoring/coordination tools (Revit, Navisworks) and model-based workflows.
• Experience scaling a VDC/BIM function with standardized processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the multi-region VDC team across phases.
• Own the VDC strategic roadmap and software selections.
• Standardize VDC deliverables and engagement processes by project phase.
• Collaborate with BD, Preconstruction, and Operations to embed VDC in estimating and field execution.
