Batson-Cook Company seeks a VDC Manager to lead the delivery team in Atlanta, GA. You’ll drive VDC strategy, coordinate with architects and consultants, and guide cost estimation from design concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–10 years of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Minimum training/certifications outlined for Assistant VDC Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage adversity and obstacles with tact and good judgement.
• Market Batson-Cook / tell the Batson-Cook story.
• Credit/edit BEP and exhibits to meet project needs.
• Communicate with Architects and consultants on design/build projects.
• Interpret conceptual, schematic, or bridging documents and develop cost estimates.
• Understand the full delivery process from design conception through construction and identify improvement areas.
• Understand the design process (3rd party or integrated).
• Keep informed of developments and emerging technologies and report significance.
• Establish metrics for measuring process improvements and track results against metrics.
• Understand procurement and buyout strategies; identify project goals and monitor support to meet them.
• Speak publicly and effectively present VDC process at project interviews.
• Identify major risk items and plan mitigation.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills.
• Recognize unmet needs and offer solutions.
• Develop VDC strategies to address challenges with creative solutions.
• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing.
• Maintain relationships to ensure needs are met and issues resolved.
• Reinforce the Company vision, mission and values.

Education
