Job summary

The Weitz Company seeks an experienced VDC Manager II to lead VDC initiatives across office locations in the United States. The role focuses on applying VDC technologies onsite, advancing 3D/4D/5D models, and ensuring streamlined workflows between preconstruction and field operations.

Ideal candidates bring at least five years in architectural/construction sectors with VDC/BIM management experience, proficiency in Autodesk tools, and familiarity with drones, LiDAR, and reality capture.

Qualifications

• Education: industry-related bachelor's degree required.
• Experience: min five years in architectural services, construction or manufacturing; at least two years in VDC/BIM management.
• Technology: proficient in Microsoft Office; strong with Autodesk tools; knowledge of VDC software.
• Skills: initiative, independent judgment, project management, analytical, leadership and client relations.
• Experience with drones (FAA Part 107), LiDAR, reality capture and data processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply VDC technologies onsite with project teams.
• Provide tech expertise on drones, robotics, laser scanning, reality capture.
• Leverage 3D/4D/5D content to assist design, management and implementation.
• Maintain VDC workflows across departments and updates to standards.
• Mentor team members and lead VDC training sessions.
• Produce VDC estimates and cost analyses as requested.
• Present VDC capabilities to owners, architects and project teams.
