The Weitz Company is seeking an experienced VDC Engineer II to join our team and be based out of an office location across the United States. The role focuses on developing VDC models, coordinating with field teams, and driving constructability and project efficiency throughout the lifecycle.

Ideal candidates bring internship experience in construction, LEAN exposure, and strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to collaborate with field and office teams.

Qualifications

• Internship experience in a construction role supporting VDC.
• LEAN principles experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Model development and coordination support with increasing independence.
• Provide proactive field support including plans, takeoffs, and coordination.
• Apply VDC tools to improve workflows and generate models, renderings, and simulations.
• Collaborate with project teams to implement VDC workflows and communicate effectively.
• Manage RFIs, ASIs, and digital documentation workflows with timeliness.
• Provide basic training and contribute to VDC standards and materials.
• Explore new tools and support company initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Prepare visuals and documentation to highlight VDC contributions for marketing.
