Job summary

JR Merit, Inc. is seeking a VDC Manager to lead its growing digital construction program from estimating through fabrication and installation.

The role demands designing, building, and scaling our VDC function, unifying workflows across estimating, coordination, fabrication, and field execution. You will champion Revit-based BIM standards, manage model coordination, and drive efficiency by refining ESTmep and Stratus workflows while partnering with estimators to accelerate projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of VDC/BIM coordination or model management experience in mechanical, industrial, or construction environments
• Demonstrated experience leading BIM/VDC processes across multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop the company’s VDC standards, workflows, and digital construction strategy.
• Create systems that align estimating, coordination, fabrication, and field execution.
• Define success metrics tied to efficiency, quality, and reduced rework.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce the BIM Execution Plan across all projects.
• Build and refine the ESTmep-to-Revit workflow to eliminate rework between estimating and modeling.
• Partner closely with estimators on live pursuits to improve accuracy and speed.
• Own and maintain the ESTmep fabrication database, ensuring labor values, material standards, fittings, and fabrication content align with JR Merit field and shop practices.
