Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. seeks a VDC Manager to lead the virtual design and construction program across projects and regions. You will drive VDC processes, mentor peers, and coordinate with design, preconstruction, and operations teams to enable efficient delivery.

The role requires strong BIM expertise (Revizto, Revit, Civil 3D, Sketchup), proven leadership, and willingness to travel regionally as needed. A BS in a related field and 7+ years' experience are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture required, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 7 years' relevant industry experience; minimum 3 years' dedicated to VDC desired.
• Proactive leadership mindset and cultural stewardship within the team.
• Process oriented, timely, and accountable to commitments with adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of virtual building among all stakeholders.
• Manage VDC planning and execution across projects/offices.
• Communicate value proposition and standard of care for VDC capabilities.
• Develop BIM execution planning, BIM exhibits, and front ends language.
• Lead VDC training and succession plans within company pathways.
• Coordinate with Business Development, Operations, Preconstruction, Design Integration, and Scheduling.
• Maintain VDC metrics, lessons learned, and best practices across the lifecycle.
• Represent VDC to clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee laser scanning, drone data, and model content production.
