Job summary

Vaughn Industries, LLC in Lewis Center, OH is seeking a VDC Inventor Detailer to transform engineering concepts into accurate 3D models and construction drawings for substations, transmission, and renewable energy projects.

You will collaborate with the Utility VDC Coordination Team, prepare fabrication drawings, and advance toward a VDC Utility Coordinator role through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship. A strong eye for detail and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience using Autodesk Inventor or construction experience in High Voltage Substation/Transmission/Distribution, or Renewable Energy.
• Ability to read and interpret design or construction documents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Model parts and equipment for substations, transmission, and renewable energy projects.
• Collaborate with the Utility VDC Coordination Team to create and coordinate 3D models.
• Prepare fabrication and installation drawings for construction and prefabrication.
• Generate detailed installation drawings for field and prefabrication personnel.
• Assist with identifying and resolving design and constructability challenges.
• Develop your technical and VDC skills with the goal of advancing into a VDC Utility Coordinator role.
