Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America seeks a CAD/Modeling TechIntern to support VDC and reality capture on active projects. You will work with laser scanning, point clouds, BIM and 3D modeling to aid site teams and improve project outcomes.

This in-person internship offers hands-on experience with Revit, Civil 3D and Cyclone, plus opportunities to grow technical and professional skills through collaboration with VDC colleagues and field personnel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in Surveying or Geomatics or related field.
• Experience with point cloud processing, BIM workflows, and reality capture tools a plus.
• Familiarity with Revit, Civil 3D, Cyclone and Leica Register 360 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and archive point cloud files from field teams.
• Compile, register, and publish point cloud data using Leica Register 360.
• Develop 2D/3D maps and models using Revit, Civil 3D, Cyclone; verify against survey control.
• Create conceptual models and photorealistic renders to support marketing and project needs.
• Collaborate with VDC team members to deliver project deliverables.
