Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Project VDC/BIM Specialist to develop and maintain intelligent 3D BIM models, coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts, and implement VDC/BIM standards across projects in the Advanced Technology division.

You will work with engineers, designers, and project managers to translate complex information into construction-ready models, support reality capture, 4D simulations, clash detection, and ensure QA/QC across the program.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise with Revit and BIM/VDC processes.
• Experience processing laser scan/point cloud data in models and workflows.
• Familiarity with 4D simulations and point layout extractions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-specific VDC/BIM execution plans and workflows.
• Coordinate integration of BIM requirements into project workflows.
• Create and maintain intelligent 3D models (Revit) and perform 4D simulations.
• Process point cloud data and integrate reality capture into models.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and multidisciplinary reviews.
• Conduct quality control to ensure model accuracy and standards compliance.
• Develop BIM standards, guidelines, and protocols across the organization.
• Provide training and mentorship on BIM methods and workflows.
• Assist with RFPs for reality capture and outsourced BIM/VDC services.
• Monitor progress of VDC/BIM tasks against timelines.
