Job summary

Lighthouse Electric Co., Inc. is seeking a Virtual Design Construction Specialist to perform pre-construction tasks and support BIM workflows. You will develop 3D models, create shop drawings, and support continuous improvement of BIM processes across multiple project phases.

Roles span I–IV levels with opportunities to mentor, lead coordination meetings, and drive quality and efficiency in BIM-based workflows while collaborating with designers, owners, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in CAD/Drafting or related field preferred.
• Experience reading floor plans, sections, and elevations; BIM360; Bluebeam; Microsoft Excel and Outlook; Navisworks; Revit.
• For VDC II and higher: demonstrated ability modeling from 2D to 3D, construction experience, collaboration, problem-solving, urgency, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce, edit, and coordinate 3‑D object‑oriented models.
• Produce, annotate, and detail fabrication and field installation shop drawings.
• Participate in development of workflows and standard operating procedures; contribute to continuous improvement.
• Identify model‑related issues to the project team and maintain regular contact.
• Develop basic knowledge of BIM software, 3‑D design, and construction documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
