Job summary

Hedrick Brothers Construction Co. in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a VDC Manager II to lead BIM implementation across multi-project scopes. You will coordinate VDC staff, liaise with architects/clients, and ensure timely modeling, clash detection resolution, and RFIs during preconstruction.

Require 7+ years of experience and proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Archicad, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, and Procore. English communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent Construction Management certificate.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in VDC/BIM leadership roles.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Archicad, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam and Procore.
• Solid understanding of project management controls: scheduling, cost control, procurement, estimating.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead VDC/BIM implementation plans and establish project-specific VDC guidelines before bid or preconstruction.
• Implement VDC procedures to ensure timely modeling and shop drawing approvals.
• Champion VDC tools adoption and develop training materials for staff.
• Coordinate the VDC process across 2+ concurrent projects and supervise VDC Coordinators.
• Serve as Model Administrator on assigned projects and support preconstruction teams.
• Track clash detections and RFIs with project teams during preconstruction; monitor 4D scheduling.
• Manage subcontractor adherence to VDC guidelines and liaison with third-party VDC vendors.
• Advise field teams on processes per company standards and resolve disputes or performance issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
