Job summary

Hedrick Brothers Construction in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a VDC Coordinator to model, coordinate, and document 3D building information models across active projects. You will act as a hands-on contributor, managing BIM libraries, coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and supporting takeoffs, scheduling, and 4D simulations.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture and at least 3 years of project engineering experience

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent Construction Management Certificate.
Minimum 3 years of related project engineering experience and proficient plan reading.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Modeling & BIM: Create and maintain schematic and detailed models; serve as Model Administrator and manage BIM revision logs; identify conflicts; create library components; coordinate with BIM service providers and subcontractors.
Quantities & Scheduling Support: Derive material quantities, perform take-offs, prepare quantity reports; develop design-phase and coordination schedules; prepare 4D simulations.
Trade & Field Coordination: Define scopes, evaluate field problems, issue RFIs; manage model coordination meetings; prepare shop drawings and coordinate with subcontractor detailers.
