Job summary

The Weitz Company seeks a VDC Manager in Cedar Rapids, IA to lead design, management, and implementation of VDC systems across projects nationwide. You will coordinate models, 3D/4D/5D content, and reality capture, ensuring streamlined workflows between preconstruction and field teams.

Responsibilities include leading VDC training, developing cost analyses, and maintaining VDC standards. Strong Autodesk skills and drone/LiDAR experience are preferred; LEAN exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent mix accepted.
• 5+ years in architectural services, construction, or manufacturing; 2+ years VDC/BIM management.
• Proficiency in MS Office; strong Autodesk software skills (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
• Experience with drones, LiDAR, reality capture preferred.
• Leadership, initiative, and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Apply VDC technologies on project sites with teams.
• Lead drone, robotics, laser scanning, reality capture efforts.
• Use 3D/4D/5D content to support design and management of VDC systems.
• Streamline workflows between preconstruction and field operations.
• Lead VDC training with Learning & Development; mentor staff.
