Job summary

The Weitz Company is looking for a VDC Manager in Des Moines, IA to oversee the design and implementation of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) systems. This role enhances workflows among project teams and focuses on the utilization of technology including drones and robotics.

The ideal candidate must have at least five years of experience in architectural services or construction, and at least two years in VDC/BIM management. The position includes a competitive pay structure and requires knowledge of various software tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience in architectural services, construction or manufacturing.
• At least two years of VDC/BIM management experience required.
• Familiarity with Drones (FAA Part 107 Certificate), LiDAR scanning and reality capture.

Responsibilities

• Application of VDC technologies onsite with project teams.
• Provide expertise on project sites for drones and reality capture.
• Produce VDC estimates and cost analysis, as needed.
