Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior VDC Engineer to lead virtual design and construction activities on complex projects in Houston.

You will drive BIM coordination, develop execution plans, model 3D content, and manage VDC budgets and schedules with cross-functional teams including engineers, superintendents, and project managers. The role requires a BS in engineering-related field, 2+ years in construction/VDC, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum 2 years' relevant industry experience; 1 year dedicated to VDC desired.
Process oriented, timely, and accountable to commitments/deadlines.
Team builder attitude and cross-functional facilitator.

Responsibilities

Promote a culture of virtual building among internal and external stakeholders.
Lead BIM execution planning, coordination, 3D modeling, and 2D drawing production.
Develop VDC budgets and schedules; track progress and communicate status.
Coordinate workload of VDC engineers and interns; maintain metrics.
Lead VDC training and share best practices across projects.
